Rare date Saint Gauden's, Indians and even Liberty's may not always represent the best price/rarity value, but are always sought after and usually easy to resell.  Rare gold occupies a special place in the rare coin market.

Rare date gold coins, even more so than rare date silver dollars, are complicated to obtain.  Much thought and patience is required in building a portfolio of rare date US gold.  

We believe rare gold coins should be graded by one of the major grading services.  Each piece should be studied , as well as, original mint records, history and population reports of the date.

As has happened more than once, finding a sunken ship full of US gold coins can dramatically change the rarity of a particular issue.
